Aaron Evers
Freshman
Aaron Evers, is a freshman tenor trombonist who comes from Texarkana, TX. As he studies Music Education his accomplishments follow as attending ATSSB All State for Jazz, 2x UIL State S&E Gold Medalist and when asked why he chose TAMUC he stated "I was very impressed with the music program when I toured here. The trombone section here is also amazing!"
Alex Rodriguez
Freshman
Alex Rodriguez is a freshman tenor trombonist who comes from Tyler, TX. As he studies Music Education his accomplishments follow as, being 2x Junior High All Region Band Member, 2x All Region Concert Band Member, 4x UIL S&E Gold Medalist, and 2x UIL State Ensemble Contender. When asked why he chose TAMUC he stated. "I was at TMEA 2024 and was reminded why I love music. I did some research and found TAMUC being the best choice for me. Their pedagogy is what drew me in first but then the performance side caught my attention."
Catrell Lincoln
Freshman
Catrell Lincoln is a freshman tenor trombonist who comes from Kaufman, TX. As he studies Music Education his musical accomplishments follow as a 3x All Stater for UIL State S&E and was 1st in the 2023-2024 All State. When asked why he chose TAMUC he stated "TAMUC is great to their students and the music program is phenomenal!"
Aydan Whittle
Freshman
Aydan Whittle is a freshman tenor trombonist who comes from Sulphur Springs, TX. As he studies Music Education his accomplishments follow as he made All Region multiple times and has received multiple awards regarding his efforts put into Music and Marching Band. When asked why he chose TAMUC he stated "I knew there was a talented trombone section that I could learn from and that could help me to improve to be a better musician. I also chose TAMUC because of the people and their willingness to be kind and support other students."
Connor Ridings
Freshman
Connor Ridings is a freshman tenor trombonist from Bedford, TX. While Connor studies Music Education his accomplishments follow as he has competed in TMEA All State and as well as many UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest. When asked why he chose TAMUC he stated "I felt like I had a family away from home in the Trombone Studio. I also knew that TAMUC has an excellent Music Education program that has many of opportunities to offer!"
Cole Soisson
Freshman
Cole Soisson is a freshman tenor trombonist who comes from Copperas Cove, TX. As he studies Music Education his accomplishments follow as he is a Visionary Composer and Marching Show Designer for 4 years now. When asked why he chose TAMUC, he states that "It reminds me of home and all the students and staff here were very welcoming!"
Jackson Yoder
Freshman
Jackson Yoder is a freshman bass trombonist who comes from Ennis, TX. While he studies Music Education his accomplishments follow with him being the Bass Trombonist for the Texas Jazz All Stars for 2 years, while getting the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall over this recent summer with the Lonestar Youth Wind Orchestra. When asked why he chose TAMUC he stated "The trombone faculty and members are incredible and the ensembles are all high level learning opportunities."
Diego Lopez
Freshman
Diego López is a freshman tenor trombonist who comes from Kaufman, TX. As he studies Music Education his accomplishments follow as a 2X State Solo and Ensemble Qualifier and All Region Band Qualifier. When asked why he chose TAMUC he stated "I chose TAMUC because of the people and music program. Everything about this place is filled with passion!"
Kennedy Crowell
Freshman
Kennedy Crowell is a freshman bass trombonist who comes from Van Alstyne, TX. As he studies Music Education his accomplishments follow as he was the UT Arlington Jazz Festivals Outstanding Performer, 2x All State Jazz Area Qualifier, 2x All State Area Qualifier and Principle Trombonist for the PSO Youth Pit Band. When asked why he chose TAMUC he stated "I chose TAMUC because the musicians on campus were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about music. I felt a sense of belonging because everyone is focused on helping each other grow and succeed!"
Juan Perez
Freshman
Juan Perez is a freshman tenor trombonist coming from Nacogdoches, TX. As Juan studies Music Education his accomplishments follow as a All Region Area contender, Consistent UIL S&E Medalist and a member of the Texas Boys State Band. When asked why he chose TAMUC, he stated that "This university was more welcoming than others and seeing how close the studio was really did it for me!"
Ross Tatge
Freshman
Ross Tatge is a freshman bass trombonist who comes from Houston, TX. Ross is doubling with Music Performance and Education, with his accomplishments following as he bought and moved a Hammond Organ with the help of one other person, he is the 293rd chair piccolo with the Dallas Winds, and he has recorded all 6 trombone parts for the hit single "Quandale Djingle Bells", by Tony Rodriguez. When asked why he chose TAMUC he stated "I have met many people that speak highly of TAMUC and their music program!"
Thomas Jaramillo
Freshman
Thomas Jaramillo is a freshman bass trombonist who comes from Richardson, TX. While he studies Music Education his accomplishments follow as he made the All Region Band his senior year and he was given the opportunity to work as staff at the TAMUC Leadership Camp with Frank Troyka this past summer! When asked why he chose TAMUC he stated "I came to experience a really strong music program, but one that lets the section be as close as family and Commerce excels in both fields and I know it will help make me a great educator!"
